ABOUT ME

Hello! I am Charlene, tutor and founder of Knowledge Bees Tuition. I am a qualified primary school teacher, with over 14 years of classroom experience. 

After my maternity leave in 2022, I began my tutoring journey. I loved tutoring so much, I decided not to return to the classroom. I now work solely as a tutor.

I work with learners who attend school and need some additional support. I also provide alternative provision tuition and work with learners that are home-educated.

I am a hard-working, friendly, professional teacher who is passionate about building confidence. I love to see students thrive in ways they didn't think possible and see their confidence soar. I still remember my favourite  primary school teachers and how they encouraged and motivated me. I strive to have the same positive influence on others.   

I am able to effectively identify gaps in learning. I assess each pupil's needs and then complete a tailored plan, teaching sessions to suit their individual needs. During sessions, we work on plugging gaps and building confidence; in turn creating a love of learning.

I believe that when learners feel confident, they are not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes. As a result, learners are enthused about their learning and able to foster a positive attitude to education. 

I strongly believe in growth mindset and believe that all children can succeed. Students should feel enthused and confident in continuing the next phase of their learning journey. My aim is to nurture the self-confidence of pupils and remove barriers to learning, enabling pupils to reach their full potential.

All children are entitled to be challenged, supported and feel a sense of achievement. I believe learning should be fun and spark the imagination. My work as a tutor gives me the opportunity to help learners succeed and fulfil their full potential-helping learners be all they can be!
